PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS OF SERVICE AND DISCLAIMERS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEB SITE. San Diego Comic Convention/SDCC/Comic-Con International (Comic-Con) is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. These Terms of Service apply to the Comic-Con Web site (this "Web site" or "Site") and govern data collection and usage. The Site is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein. By accessing or using this Site, you agree to these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and consent to the data practices described in this statement.
Use of Site, Intellectual Property, and Restrictions
The content on this Web site or any Web site owned, operated, licensed and/or controlled by Comic-Con is solely for personal, non-commercial use. All content on this Web site or any Web site owned, operated, licensed and/or controlled by Comic-Con, including but not limited to text, design, graphics, interfaces, or code and the selection and arrangements thereof is protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, and/or other intellectual property rights and may be copyrighted as collective works under the United States and other copyright laws. Web site content may not be copied, distributed, exploited, posted, reproduced, republished, transmitted, and/or uploaded in any way for commercial use without the prior written consent of Comic-Con. Without prior written consent, your use of Web site content owned, operated, licensed, and/or controlled by Comic-Con for any purpose other than personal, non-commercial use, is prohibited and violates copyrights, trademarks, service marks and/or other proprietary rights. Comic-Con reserves the right to deny consent to anyone, for any reason, and at any time.
Harassment in any manner or form on the Site or any of the Comic-Con Web sites, including via e-mail and chat or by obscene or abusive language is strictly forbidden. Impersonation of others, including a Comic-Con employee, host, or representative or other members or visitors on the Site, is prohibited. You may not upload to, distribute, or otherwise publish through the Site any content which is libelous, defamatory, obscene, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, illegal, or otherwise objectionable, or which may constitute or encourage a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party or otherwise give rise to liability or violate any law. You may not upload commercial content on the Site or use the Site to solicit others to join or become members of any other commercial online service or other organization.
From time to time Comic-Con may run promotions designed to attract new members or increase sales. In connection with these promotions, any person who receives credits, coupons, prizes or other benefits from Comic-Con by using multiple user accounts or email addresses, using false names, impersonating others, or through the use of any other fraudulent or misleading conduct, shall forfeit any credits, coupons, prizes or benefits obtained through such means, and may be liable for civil and/or criminal penalties under applicable law.
Membership and Purchase Policy
By submitting a registration for a Comic-Con Member ID, you are consenting to your personal information being retained by a Third-parties involved in administrative or operational aspects on behalf of Comic-Con. Your details will be saved for future badge sales and you will receive periodic registration and website administration updates from Comic-Con.
Please make sure the email address you provide is one to which you have long term access.
Should you wish to unsubscribe from the Comic-Con Member ID database, please login to your Member ID account and select the "Cancel Member ID" option. Please note unsubscribing will mean you are no longer eligible to purchase tickets for Comic-Con, and will need to re-register should you wish to buy badges in future.
Registration for a Comic-Con Member ID does not reserve or guarantee you a badge. A Comic-Con Member ID is required to login to the Third-party Registration Provider online registration system only, and does not increase your chances of purchasing a badge. Your chance of buying a badge is not influenced in any way by the number of times you register, or the information you provide during registration. Multiple registrations will be deleted.
You must register for a Comic-Con Member ID in order to be eligible to purchase a badge. Also, anyone applying for press, professional, volunteer, or staff badges must register for a Comic-Con Member ID before they can request to register for their badge. If Comic-Con determines that you purchased or registered for a badge, but did not register for a Comic-Con Member ID, Comic-Con has the right to cancel your badge and refund any amounts paid at Comic-Conís sole discretion. Although Comic-Con makes every effort to ensure the purchase of badges is easy, efficient, and equitable, Comic-Con makes no guarantee, warranty, or representation that, by logging onto the Web site with a Comic-Con Member ID, you are entitled to or be able to purchase a badge. Due to the limited number of badges and the large volume of Comic-Con Member ID holders, badges are sold as long as they are available. Please be advised that Comic-Con badges sell out very quickly. Not all persons eligible to purchase a badge will be able to purchase a badge. Additionally, Comic-Con makes no guarantee, warranty, or representation that the Web site will function properly throughout the badge sales process. In the event that the Web site malfunctions, Comic-Con will make every effort to rectify the problem in a timely fashion. Notwithstanding, by using the Web site you agree that IN NO EVENT SHALL COMIC-CON, ITS PRINCIPALS, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THE WEB SITE OR THE BADGE SALE AND REGISTRATION PROCESS.
A Comic-Con Member ID has no monetary value. By registering for a Comic-Con Member ID, you agree not to sell or trade your Member ID and further you agree that if you do so, Comic-Con has the right to cancel your Member ID.
You have the right to Opt-Out of certain features and services including:
Newsletter/Magazine/Post Mail Opt-Out: Select if you do not want to receive physical address mailings and communications from Comic-Con.
Third Party Offer Opt-Out: Select if you do not want to receive 3rd party offers. (From time to time, Comic-Con may share your personal information with 3rd Parties which it believes will provide a useful service to our members).
Email Opt-Out: Select if you do not want to receive e-mail communications from Comic-Con, other than account and administrative updates. By selecting this, you will not receive badge registration information or pre-sale announcements.
To select any of the above Opt-Out options, please login to your Member ID account, select the "Change My Preferences" option.
As is the general practice on the Internet, the Comic-Con Web site may use "cookies" to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a Web server intended to be read by the server that gave it to you. Typically, the cookie functions as a bookmark, returning you to the desired web site.
